According to the existing problem of cathode carbon plant fuel gas purification in production,coordinated with the modified measures on cathode carbon plant in recent few years domestically and abroad,here I put forward several measures on optimizing fuel gas pruification system.

Some problems in the development of carbon cathode materials in China;

Baking cathode block with open type anode furnace;

Study on the wettability of electrolyte for graphite cathode blocks;

The process parameters involved in the vibration molding technique that was used to make cathode carbon blocks with large size for electrolytic aluminum have been analyzed according to the theory of vibrating technology,and have been optimized in industrial scale production.

The preparation process of cathode carbon block with low specific electric resistance for aluminium elec- trolysis,including selection of formula,determination of binder amount and optimization of technolgical parameters, was introduced.

This text analyzes the characteristics for damaged cathode carbon block of 240 kA pre-baked aluminium electrolyzer and the operation examples of damaged electrolyzer,and proposes the methods to determine the lining damaged points,the repairment process,and the strategies for operation and maintenance after electrolyzer repairment.

Therefore, it is particularly urgent for the aluminum reduction and carbon industry of our country to study and develop the high grade cathode blocks.
