波兰于1956年开始特许生产苏联的卡拉什尼科夫ak-47式7.62mm突击步枪,波兰将其命名为pmk,该枪有固定木枪托和折叠金属枪托两种。

后来,波兰将配用固定木枪托的pmk 7.62mm突击步枪改进成可发射枪榴弹的步枪,命名为pmk-dgn60式,并为该枪专门研制了f1/n60式杀伤枪榴弹和pgn60式反坦克枪榴弹。
