飞机场内对飞机进行维护修理能力的特定区域。在飞机维修区内,相应于飞机构造的各个部分,分别设有机体结构、动力装置(如发动机等)、飞机附件（如机内设施、零部件、电子设备等）、其他辅助性地面和公用设施的维修车间及器材仓库等。上述各种维修设施的设置，根据各飞机场的维修量及维修范围确定。该区一般布置在距机坪一定距离的地段内。为了维修的方便，各维修车间均应围绕飞机库布置，在机库门前应修建能停放一定数量飞机的维修坪，并和停机坪、跑道有联络道相连接。各维修车间的布置既要考虑使用上的方便，又要考虑各车间功能的特殊要求，在布局上作统一安排。（见彩图）
