横县中等职业技术学校，原名横县职业中学，1996年2月被国家教委认定为首批国家级重点职业高中，学校设横州分校和云表分校。 学校占地面积1040484平方米，其中建筑面积55978平方米，建有教学楼2幢、教职工宿舍楼5幢、学生宿舍楼5幢、综合实验楼2幢、办公楼2幢以及运动场2个。办有年加工量1.5万担的花茶加工厂、缫丝厂、进口汽车维修厂、汽车驾驶员培训部、酒楼、商店以及荔枝园99871平方米，龙眼园133334平方米，茉莉花园6915平方米，桑园 10005平方米，养殖场2001平方米，鱼塘26680平方米等生产实习基地和经济实体。教学设施设备较为齐全，建设有计算机实验室2间，语音实验室2间，电工电子实验室2间，物理、生化实验室各2间，此外还配备有汽车驾驶模拟室、汽车维修工场、形体训练室、仪器室、图书阅览室、动植物标本室、植物组织培养室等，有教学仪器设备总值305.8万元。学校现有教职工178人，在校生2887人，其中学历 教育37个班，共1318人。现开设有农村多种经营、职业中师、农村机电、办公自 动化、电脑财会、商贸、医士等长线专业和汽车驾驶与维修、服装裁剪、计算机操作等短线专业。 学校坚持面向 社会，服务经济的办学宗旨，发挥学校基地和技术优势，采取请进来走出去的方式，建立辐射点，把技术和优良品种辐射到广阔的生产领域，在当地经济建设中起到"龙头"作用，使学校成为人才培养、生产示范、技术推广的多功能基地。近三年来，学校先后培养了2172多名毕业生，大多数成为当地经济建设的能手和科技致富的带头人。学校向农村辐射新技术，推广优良品种，有力地推动了经济的发展，被称为"农民自己的好学校"、"科技致富的摇篮"。学校取得了显著的人才效益、经济效益和社会效益，得到上级有关领导部门的肯定和社会的认可。1991年以来先后被评为"文明学校"、"科教兴农先进单位"等称号；1992年被原区教委认定为"省级重点示范职业中学"，1994年国家教委授予"全国农村教育综合改革先进单位"称号，1996年2月被国家教委认定为"国家级重点职业高中"。菲律宾国际乡村改造学院的专家到学校考察，对学校办学的思路和做法表示赞赏，并与学校合作实施乡村改造建立"一校两村"示范项目。
