性质:又称黄花甲素,大萼变型甲素。白色棱柱形结晶(由甲醇中析出)。熔点267~269℃(分解)和273~275℃。旋光度-79.8°(c=0.3,吡啶)。味甚苦。植物来源于唇形科植物黄花香茶菜[Rabdosia sculponeata (vaniot) Hara]全草、大萼变型香茶菜[R. macrocalyx (Dunn)Hara.]全草。具有抑菌作用。
