红菇科 Russulaceae 无隔担子菌纲伞菌目的一科。子实体肉质,脆,易腐烂,色泽鲜艳。菌盖、菌柄或菌褶的菌肉组织具球状胞。菌褶离生至延生。孢子印白色至深赭色,在显微镜下无色至淡黄色,通常球形至宽椭圆形。菌柄通常中生,菌丝无锁状联合,常具有囊状体,有些种具油囊体或乳管和乳汁。本科真菌生在林中地上,很少生在腐木上,通常与高等植物形成菌根。几乎全世界分布。本科下分红菇属和乳菇属2属。美味可食的有松乳菇、大红菇等;亚稀褶黑菇(剧毒)已在中国的福建、湖南等地发现;也有一些种可供药用,用于抑制肿瘤试验方面效果明显。
