【性味】
咸，平。 ①《本经》："平。" ②《药对》："微寒。" ③《纲目》："咸，平，无毒。"
【归经】
《本草经疏》："入手、足阳明经。"
【功用主治】
治咳嗽喘息，痔疮；白秃，冻疮。 ①《本经》："主五痔，伏热在肠，肠痈内蚀。" ②《本经逢原》："治目疾外障。"
【用法与用量】
内服：烧灰研末。外用：研末调敷。
【选方】
①治久咳嗽喘息：猪蹄合子四十九枚(黑者，水浸洗净)，天南星一枚(大者锉)，款冬花(带蕊者末)半两。上三昧，用瓶子一枚，铺猪蹄合子在内，上以天南星匀盖之，合了，盐泥赤石脂固济火煅，白烟出为度，候冷取出，入款冬花末并麝香一分，龙脑少许，同研。每服一钱匕，食后煎桑根白皮汤调下。(《圣济总录》黑金散) ②治诸痔：猪悬蹄甲不拘多少，烧存性，为末，陈米汤调二钹，空心服。(《仁斋直指方》猪甲散) ③治牡痔生鼠乳，肛门痒痛，触着有脓血出不绝：猪悬蹄壳(烧成灰、研)一两，水银三大豆许。上二味，先取水银，用蒸枣肉二枚，研匀，次入蹄壳灰，拌和为丸，如鸡头实大。先以盐汤洗下部，纳一丸，夜卧时再用，以瘥为度。(《圣济总录》猪蹄灰丸) ④治小儿白秃：猪蹄甲七个，每个入白矾一块，枣儿一个，烧存性，研末，入轻粉、麻油调搽。(《纲目》) ⑤治冻烂疮：猪后悬蹄一味，烧为灰，研细，以猪脂和敷之。(《圣济总录》猪蹄膏)
