在职是相对全日制而言的。在职指的是原来有工作单位的人，在单位认可的情况下，一边工作一边读博。而且肯定是自费。同样要参加考试!
在职博士并不是另外一种博士，只是学习的形式不同，所有招博士的单位都可以，只不过因为是在职的，可能帮不了导师做项目，所以导师一般不愿意收!
