| 永州市 简称永。位于中国湖南省南部，潇水下游。人口50.96万，汉族为主。隋开皇九年(589)置永州，并为州治，1954年属衡阳专区，1968年后属零陵地区，1979年4月析零陵县置永州镇（县级），1982年1月改永州市。林产有松、杉、南竹。特产“永州薄荷”。水口山、大庙头、石岩头三林场为市用材林基地，并多油茶、银杏、杜仲。农作物主要有水稻、棉花、黄豆。矿产多锰，是全省重点锰矿区之一。工业以轻工业为主，有造纸、羽绒、染织、卷烟、玻璃、塑料等。有省市级重点文物保护单位26处。市郊的石棚，是新石器时代的遗物，被誉为巨石文化。名胜古迹有唐代柳宗元谪贬永州所作《永州八记》遗址、柳子庙、朝阳旭日、回龙夕照、萍洲春涨、香零烟雨等。 |
