中国天主教全国性教务机构。由中国天主教代表会议选举产生。1980年在北京召开的中国天主教代表会议通过《中国天主教教务委员会章程》，规定该委员会的宗旨是：以圣经为依据，继承发扬教会的传统精神，引导神长教友,恪守诫命,坚持独立自主和民主管理的原则,商讨并决定重大教务问题,办好中国天主教会。1983年4月，该会和中国天主教爱国会联合发表决议，重申"坚持走独立自主的道路","自立更生,办好教会"和"与普世神昆共融在主爱之内"的行动纲领。该会最高机构为中国天主教代表会议,中国天主教代表会议每4年召开一次。第一届主任委员为张家树。会址设于北京。
