【性状】
本品为无色或微带黄绿色的澄明液体，遇光渐变成绿色。
【鉴别】
(1) 取本品1ml ，加碳酸氢钠试液1ml ，即生成白色或绿白色的沉淀； 缓缓滴加碘试液，随滴随振摇，即变为翠绿色；加乙醚2ml ，强力振摇后， 静置俟分 层，乙醚层显深宝石红色，水层仍显绿色。 (2) 本品显氯化物的鉴别反应（附录Ⅲ）。
【检查】
pH值 应为2.5 ～4.0 （附录Ⅵ H）。 颜色 取本品，与黄绿色3 号标准比色液（附录Ⅸ A第一法）比较，不得更深。 其他 应符合注射剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ B）。
【含量测定】
精密量取本品适量（约相当于盐酸阿扑吗啡50mg），置分液漏斗中 ，用新沸过的冷水稀释使成25ml，加碳酸氢钠0.5g，振摇溶解后，用无过氧化物的乙醚 振摇提取5 次，第一次25ml，以后每次各15ml，合并乙醚液，用水洗涤3 次，每次5ml, 合并洗液，用无过氧化物的乙醚5ml 振摇提取，合并前后两次得到的乙醚液，精密加盐 酸滴定液(0.02mol/L)20ml ，振摇提取，静置俟分层，分取酸层，乙醚层用水振摇洗涤 2 次，每次5ml ，洗液并入酸液中，加甲基红指示液1～2滴，用氢氧化钠滴定液(0.02m ol/L) 进行滴定。每1ml 盐酸滴定液(0.02mol/L) 相当于6.256mg 的C17H17NO2.HCl. 1/2H2O。
