缅甸诗人、作家。原名吴泰绵，吉叻人。在仰光大学学习时，担任学生刊物《孔雀之声》和《萌芽》杂志主编。1950至1951年当选为缅甸作家协会主席。1946、1951年曾先后与作家妙丹丁等提出"新文学"的口号，主张文学创作应为劳动群众服务，应反映他们的斗争和生活。他曾提出诗歌创作的革新问题，写作了许多抒情诗。他的长篇小说《梅》,揭露了殖民地社会的黑暗,控诉了资本主义恶势力对一个善良妇女的摧残。他的短篇小说集《早开的茉莉》，收入1936至1956年短篇创作14篇，其中《人力车夫》、《伙伴》、《枪声》、《早开的茉莉》等，意境隽永，笔触清新。其他作品还有《达贡达亚自传》，报告文学《中国，我们的芳邻》，人物特写集《群像》、《诗集》，历史小说《我们的时代一定要到来》，文学评论集《文学理论、评论及其活动》。
