【自行掌握限额】由被保险人自行掌握的每一买家的信用限额。按展开承保方式进行的信用险保单规定,被保险人须就每一买家向保险人提出信用限额申请,保险人在信用限额内承担保险责任。但低于自行掌握限额的,被保险人可不向保险人提出书面申请,一旦发生损失,保险人在自行掌握限额内负责。设定自行掌握限额的目的,是保险人为了减少繁琐的承保手续,以便集中力量审查较大的信用风险。自行掌握限额反映了保险人对被保险人的信任和依赖程度。对信用控制严格、经验丰富的被保险人,保险人一般会同意规定较高的自行掌握限额;反之,则规定较低的自行掌握限额。但是,按照保单规定,被保险人在自行掌握限额内运作时,仍应做到对买家情况有基本的了解,并不得允许存在有问题的贸易记录。
