In this micro-scale experiment, new neraether (β-naphthalene aether) was synthesized by the dehydration of hydroxybenzene and ethanol under p-methyl phenyl sulfonic acid catalyzing with the materials of β-naphthol and ethanol.

    又名橙花醛、香叶醛。学名3,7-二甲基-2,6-辛二烯醛。易流动黄色液体。分子量152.24。密度0.8972g/cm3。沸点228-229℃。闪点92℃。拆射率1.4891。几乎不溶子水。溶于大多数有机溶剂。以1:7溶于60%乙醇。具有强烈的柠檬香气及特有的苦甜味。
    生产方法:主要采用单离法。以柠檬草油、山苍子油等天然精油为原料,通过分馏、纯化、减压蒸馏而得。
    用途:醛类合成香料。主要用作古龙香水和香皂的香料,也可用作紫罗兰酮、檀醇、维生索A、维生素E的合成原料。
