性质:又称亚铬酸[chromons acid, HCrO2(H3CrO3)]或水合氧化铬(hydrated chromium sesquioxide)。灰绿色或灰蓝色无定形粉末。密度2.9g/cm3。难溶于水,能强烈地发生水合作用,形成水合氢氧化铬Cr(OH)3·xH2O(x=2~4),放量在硫酸中即转变为二水合物,100℃下干燥变为无水物Cr(OH)3,超过100℃则分解为三氧化二铬和水,进一步灼烧则变为深绿色,失去在酸中的溶解性。具有两性。失水成为极弱的酸,即亚铬酸。可由铬盐与氨水作用制得。用于制取铬塑料及铬盐等。
