在煤泥水浓缩脱水与澄清作业中,采用絮凝剂使悬浮液中的微细颗粒形成絮团而加速沉降的过程。在煤泥水中悬浮的颗粒表面上存在双电层,形成稳定的悬浮液体系,阻碍煤泥沉降。添加絮凝剂后,借助于凝聚与絮凝作用,破坏悬浮稳定性。絮凝剂包括无机凝聚剂与有机高分子絮凝剂两大类。添加凝聚剂,可压缩颗粒表面双电层的厚度,产生凝聚,称凝聚作用。添加有机高分子絮凝剂,借助于其线型大分子上极性基团,特别是氢键的作用,牢固地吸附在颗粒表面,在颗粒间形成桥连,促使颗粒聚集成团,称絮凝作用。常用的无机凝聚剂有三氯化铁、三氯化铝、石灰、氢氧化钠及明矾等。有机高分子絮凝剂包括:①含有阴离子或阴离子型基团的阴离子型絮凝剂;②含有阳离子或阳离子型基团的阳离子型絮凝剂;③含有非离子型基团的非离子型絮凝剂;④在一定的条件下,可呈现阴离子性或阳离子性的两性型絮凝剂。
