性质:又称泥炭,草炭。一种未固结成岩的可燃有机矿物。呈黄褐色至棕色。相对密度0.7~1.2。燃点多在250℃以下。发热量4.2~8.4MJ/kg左右,属低热值燃料。沁煤的化学组分主要有纤维素、半纤维素、木质素、腐殖酸、沥青质和元素F、P、K等,还含有多种稀有元素,是一种宝贵的矿物原料。可用于制造各种腐殖酸类肥料、建筑材料、轻型保温材料,生产染料、涂料、离子交换剂等多种用途。
