性质:又称麝香梨酸,16-羟基十六碳-7-烯酸。其α-异构体熔点为53~55℃,β-异构体熔点为26~27℃。易溶于乙醇,难溶于石油醚,不溶于水。为锦葵属植物hibiscus abelmoschus L.种子油中的成分。由该油萃取而得。用于香料工业,如制造该酸的内酯(ambrettolide,一种人造麝香)。
