【来源】
为姜科植物缩砂蜜Amomum villosum Lour. Var.xanthioides (Wwall.ex Bak.)T.L.Wu et Senjen的果实。
【植物形态】
多年生草本，高1.5～3m。根茎葡匐地面。叶片披针形至线形，长20～35cm，宽3～7cm，两面光滑无毛；叶舌半圆形，长0.3～0.5cm。穗状花序椭圆形；苞片披针形，膜质；小苞片管状，膜质；花白色，顶端具3浅齿；花冠管长1.8cm裂片长16～2cm，白色；唇瓣白色，中脉凸起，黄色而染紫红，基部具2个紫色的闸状斑；药隔附属体3裂，两侧耳状；子房被柔毛。蒴果成熟时绿色，果皮上的柔刺较扁。花期5～6月，果期8～9月。 生于林下潮湿处。主产云南。
【采制】
果实成熟时采摘果穗，置竹帘或水泥地上晒干或用微火烘干。用时取种子。
【性状】
蒴果类圆形，长1.5～2cm，直径1～1.5cm；外表面黄棕色或棕色，有片状突起。种子团类圆形至长圆形，具钝三棱，每瓣有种子12～24粒；种子多面形；直径约2.5mm，表面棕色或黑棕色，有的外面被一层白霜。气芳香，味辛。

含有a-蒎烯、莰烯、B-蒎烯、蒈烯-3、柠檬烯、a-樟脑、a-龙脑、乙酸龙脑酯、芳樟醇、a-胡椒烯、反-B-金合欢烯等。

性温，味辛。

行气宽中，健胃消食，安胎。用于胸腹胀痛、消化不良、胎动不安等。
