    (银柳、红豆) 
    形态特征:胡颓子科胡颓子属落叶灌木或小乔木，高5-10米。幼枝被银白色鳞片，老枝栗褐色。叶互生，长圆状披针形至狭披针形，长4-8厘米，宽1.5-3.5厘米，两面均有白色鳞片，背面尤密，成银白色;叶柄长5-8毫米。5-6月开花，花银白色，芳香，外侧被鳞片，1-3朵生于小枝下部叶腋;花被筒钟形，长5毫米，上部4裂。裂片三角形。果实长椭圆形或近圆形，直径8-11毫米.熟时褐黄色，密被银白色鳞片。
    生境分布:生于1000-1500米的沙漠地区。分布于我国东北、华北及西北。地中海地区、俄罗斯、印度也有。用途:果食用或酿酒、制饮料等。
