圆型纬编针织机的一种。钩针固定在直立的针筒上。主要用以生产平针组织、集圈组织、添纱组织、衬垫组织、毛圈组织的内、外衣坯布和其他装饰、工业用织物。在针筒内、外两侧,沿圆周配置着一组组成圈系统。图示为台车的一组成圈系统,当针筒回转时,诸轮的钢片因与钩针相啮合而被带动。一般采用针织法成圈。编织平针组织时,由退圈圆盘压下坯布,将旧线圈退到针杆下方、再由清纱轮、清除针口乱纱,以便筒子上的纱线通过导纱器,为弯纱轮钢片和钩针所夹住,垫入针钩内并弯成圈状。针钩带着弯曲纱线移向压针钢板,进行闭口,继而由套圈轮和脱圈轮进行套圈、脱圈和成圈,最后由牵拉卷取机构牵拉坯布并成卷。牵拉卷取机构一般设在针筒上方,但也有设在下方的。台车钩针的针钩弯有凹口,在成圈过程中可夹持弯曲的纱线,不使转移,有利于成圈的均匀性。钩针以2~3枚浇铸在一块针蜡上,机号30以下以2枚浇铸,以上的以3枚浇铸。调换不同粗细的钩针和相应的成圈机件,便可改变机器的机号。针筒直径范围20~178厘米(8~70英寸),机号5~50。台车转速较高,如76厘米(30英寸)针筒直径、12路进线,可达55转/分。此外,台车还具有翻改品种和上机调整简便、加工纱号适用性广和便于操作等优点。
