| 出口加工区 export processing zone 国家划定或开辟的专门制造、加工、装配出口商品的特殊工业区。经济特区的形式之一，常享受减免各种地方征税的优惠。出口加工区一般选在经济相对发达、交通运输和对外贸易方便、劳动力资源充足、城市发展基础较好的地区，多设于沿海港口或国家边境附近。世界上第一个出口加工区为1956年建于爱尔兰的香农国际机场。中国台湾高雄在60年代建立出口加工区。以后，一些国家也效法设置。中国在80年代实行改革开放政策后，沿海一些城市开始兴建出口加工区。出口加工区可以利用免税等优惠条件吸引国外资本，引进国外先进技术设备和管理方法，增加就业机会，扩大出口贸易，促进当地经济发展。对投资者来说，不但可以享受关税优惠条件，而且还能利用当地廉价劳力和原料，从而获取较高利润。
