性质:又称橙花叶素。菱形片状结晶(由稀甲醇中):熔点218~225℃,旋光度-50.2(甲醇)。白色结晶(由甲醇中):熔,点203~207℃,旋光度-52.7°(c=1.52,甲醇),溶于丙酮、氯仿、醋酸、乙醚,不溶于水。植物来源有夹竹桃科植物黄花夹竹桃[Thevetia peruvizana K. Schum (T. neriifolia Juss.)]的果仁,奥道拉姆世果(Cerbera odollam Gaertn)全植物。具有强心作用,动物实验表明对心脏具有正性肌力作用,还有抗癌和杀虫作用,是强心药强心灵的主要成分(占50%),临床上用于治疗心力衰竭。
