【性状】
本品为类椭圆形或卵圆形的薄片，常皱缩或卷曲。长6～10cm,宽3～7cm ，厚0.2～0.4cm。顶端稍宽，常有3～5个手指状的裂瓣，基部略窄，有的可见果梗痕。 外皮黄绿色或橙黄色，有皱纹及油点。果肉浅黄白色，散有凹凸不平的线状或点状维管 束。质硬而脆，受潮后柔韧。气香，味微甜后苦。
【鉴别】
(1) 本品粉末淡棕黄色。中果皮薄壁组织众多，细胞呈不规则形或类圆形 ，壁不均匀增厚。果皮表皮细胞表面观呈不规则多角形，偶见类圆形气孔。草酸钙方晶 成片存在于多角形的薄壁细胞中，呈多面形、菱形或双锥形。 (2) 取本品粉末1g，加无水乙醇10ml，超声处理20分钟，滤过，滤液浓缩至干，加 无水乙醇0.5ml 使溶解，作为供试品溶液。另取佛手对照药材1g，同法制成对照药材溶 液。照薄层色谱法（附录Ⅵ B）试验，吸取上述两种溶液各2μl，分别点于同一硅胶Ｇ 薄层板上，以环己烷－醋酸乙酯(3:1) 为展开剂，展开，取出，晾干，置紫外光灯(365 nm)下检视。供试品色谱中，在与对照药材色谱相应的位置上，显相同颜色的荧光斑点。
【检查】
水分 照水分测定法（附录Ⅸ H第一法）测定，不得过15.0％。
【浸出物】
照醇溶性浸出物测定法项下的热浸法（附录Ⅹ A）测定，用乙醇作溶 剂，不得少于10.0％。
【性味与归经】
辛、苦、酸，温。归肝、脾、肺经。
【功能与主治】
舒肝理气，和胃止痛。用于肝胃气滞，胸胁胀痛，胃脘痞满，食 少呕吐。
【用法与用量】
3 ～9g。
【贮藏】
置阴凉干燥处，防霉，防蛀。
