| 美育 aesthetic education 培养学生认识美、爱好美和创造美的能力的教育。又称审美教育、美感教育。美育要通过各种艺术以及自然界和社会生活中美好的事物来进行。在人的全面发展教育中，美育占有重要地位。美育随着人们的审美活动和艺术的产生而产生。中国西周的学校把乐作为六艺之一。东汉末期创设的鸿都门学，是世界上最早的研究文学艺术的专门学校。欧洲中世纪，学校为教会所垄断，艺术作为训练儿童对神的信仰的工具。资产阶级教育家主张把人从封建制度束缚下解放出来，以艺术作为宣传启蒙思想的手段，因此十分重视美育。18世纪德国诗人和启蒙学者J.C.F.von席勒在其主要美学著作《美感教育书简》里明确提出了审美教育问题，主张通过美育来提高人们审美意识的水平，恢复“完整无缺的性格”。19世纪中叶以后，各资本主义国家开始设立美术馆、艺术馆和艺术学校，并在普通学校中加强了美感教育，设立手工、美术、音乐等课程。中国近代革新学制设立新学校后，也仿效西方学校开设唱歌、图画、劳作等课程。王国维、蔡元培等人为推进美育作出努力，蔡元培在《对于教育方针之意见》一文中提出以军国民教育、实利教育、德育、世界观和美感教育为内容的教育方针，在中国近代教育史上，他是提出体、智、德、美四育并重的第一人。美育对德育、智育、体育都有积极的影响。德育以理服人，使学生分辨善恶，诉之于逻辑思维；美育以情感人，使学生分清美丑，主要诉诸于形象思维，它们互相渗透，相互促进。美育要求培养学生的审美情感、审美观念和审美能力，促进学生认识能力的发展。在美育过程中，学生不断受到自然美、社会美的熏陶，受到艺术形象的感染和艺术技能的训练。美育要求培养学生主动表达美、创造美的才能，促进他们的观察力、想象力、思维能力及创造能力的提高。美育还要求培养学生的高尚情操和文明行为习惯，加强体育锻炼，以促进学生身体的健康发展。体育要求健与美的有机结合，运用对美的感受能力更好地掌握技术要领，促使学生体态健康匀称地发展，形成坚毅乐观的性格。 |
