【来源】
为忍冬科植物垂枝双楯的根。
【植物形态】
垂枝双楯 落叶灌木，高达6米。幼枝有短柔毛。单叶对生，椭圆形或披针形，长4～7厘米，宽1.5～3厘米，先端短尾尖，基部圆形或略尖，边缘疏生腺质小齿牙或为全缘，上面疏生白毛，下面脉上密生白毛；叶柄短。花1～4朵腋生或顶生；萼片凿形，长8毫米；花冠喇叭状，外表面深玫瑰色，内面苍白色，喉部橙色；雄蕊4，2强；子房伸长，4室，其中2室有1能孕的胚珠，其他2室有数颗不孕的胚珠。苞片大，径达18毫米，包被果实。蒴果。花期7月。 生于山区林边。分布四川等地。
【性味】
性平，味苦，无毒。
【功用主治】
散寒表汗。治麻疹痘毒，湿热身痒及穿踝风。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～5钱。
【选方】
①治麻疹初起：鸡骨菜、西河柳、红牛皮菜。水煎服。 ②治湿热身痒：鸡骨菜、茵陈、银花、土苓、苍耳草、蒲公荚、侧耳根。水煎服。
