性质:用氢氟酸侵蚀玻璃的过程。采用浓度不同的氢氟酸,可以获得不同程度的蚀刻。一般是半透明呈雾状。用于刻划温度计、滴定管、量筒、量管等计量器上的刻度以及玻璃上的花纹图案等,也用于制造覆霜电灯泡(俗名磨砂灯泡)。用氢氟酸处理玻璃表面使成毛面,特别称毛面蚀刻(frosting)。
