钒渣的成分（按重量％）为：氧化钒—１６～３０，氧化硅—１０～２４，氧化锰—６～１４，氧化铬—１～１２，氧化钛—６～１４，氧化钙—０．３～３０．０，金属铁—２～２０，氧化铁—其余；钒渣的矿物成分（按重量％）为：尖晶石—４０～７０，玻璃—２～１０，辉石和橄榄石一其余，其中尖晶石晶粒具有规则的几何形状，晶粒尺寸为２５～８０微米。所得到的钒渣可以用来生产含钒的产品，如五氧化二钒及含钒的含金。
