高铁锡精矿熔炼或富锡炉渣二次熔炼时一部分铁和锡同时还原产出的锡-铁合金。硬头含铁约 40％，锡约50％，成分波动较大，其组分大体相当于FeSn和Fe3Sn2。
长期以来，控制硬头生成和处理产出的硬头，一直是炼锡过程中的一个难题。中国在60年代初，把硬头与含锡炉渣搭配加入烟化炉，硬头里的锡挥发，得到含锡50％的烟尘；铁经氧化造渣除去，从根本上解决了硬头的处理问题。
长期以来，控制硬头生成和处理产出的硬头，一直是炼锡过程中的一个难题。中国在60年代初，把硬头与含锡炉渣搭配加入烟化炉，硬头里的锡挥发，得到含锡50％的烟尘；铁经氧化造渣除去，从根本上解决了硬头的处理问题。
