性质:凝胶吸收液体或蒸气使自身重量与体积增大的作用。溶胀作用是弹性凝胶特有的性质。在一定条件下,单位重量或单位体积凝胶所吸收的液体极限量与凝胶量的比值称为溶胀度,其定义为S=(m2-m1)/m1或S=(V2-V1)/V1上式中,m2与V2分别为溶胀后凝胶的重量与体积,m1与V1分别为溶胀前凝胶的重量与体积,S即为溶胀度(degree of swelling)。
