| 沙漠 desert 地表覆盖大片风成沙的荒漠。这里风力作用很强，形成各类风蚀地貌和风积地貌。沙漠是荒漠中面积分布最广的类型。全球陆地有1／10的面积是沙漠 ，主要分布于北非、西南亚、中亚和澳大利亚地区。中国沙漠面积约有64万平方千米，约占国土面积的7.4％。 沙漠的形成，除了干旱气候条件外，还要有丰富的沙漠物质来源，它们多分布在沉积物丰厚的内陆山间盆地和剥蚀高原面上的洼地和低平地上。沙源有来自古代或现代的各种沉积物中的细粒物质。如中国的塔克拉玛干沙漠和古尔班通古特沙漠的沙源于古河流冲积物；腾格里沙漠、毛乌素沙漠和小腾格里沙漠的大部分沙源于古代与现代的冲积物和湖积物；塔里木河中游和库尔勒西南滑干河下游的沙漠都来自现代河流冲积物；乌兰布和沙漠和贺兰山、狼山-巴音乌拉山前地区的沙丘来源于洪积-冲积物；鄂尔多斯中西部高地上的沙丘来源于基岩风化的残积物。 |
