荒漠化 desertification 在干旱、半干旱地带(包括部分半湿润地带),生态环境遭到破坏,原非荒漠地区,逐渐出现荒漠或类似荒漠景观的过程。这些地区地表多疏松的沙质物质,在干旱多风的情况下,或者由于人为原因使植被退化,表土结构遭到破坏,常出现以风沙活动、沙丘起伏和土地沙化为主要标志的景象,故又称沙漠化。沙漠化过程导致土地生产量下降,可利用土地资源丧失 ,这是世界上重要的环境问题之一 。世界上有1/3的土地受到沙漠及沙漠化的威胁,每年有5~7万平方千米的土地沦为沙漠。中国沙漠化地区主要分布在东北西部、华北北部、西北的半干旱草原地带和沙漠地带的外围。
确定沙漠化土地类型,是查清沙漠化严重程度的前提。划分沙漠化土地类型及其指标有以下几个方面:①潜在沙漠化土地。小面积的、零星分布流沙点的面积在5%以下。②正在沙漠化土地。多呈斑点状分布的流沙,较密集的灌丛沙堆,普遍有土壤风蚀,约占面积的6%~25%。③严重沙漠化土地。流动沙丘已占绝对优势,并以密集连片的方式分布,面积在51%以上。防止沙漠化的措施主要有:调整土地利用结构,建设护田林网;建设防沙、固沙、输沙的工程措施;兴修水利,改进农业技术措施。 |
