Kerry: No specific expectations from negotiations
2013-11-19 (Xinhua)   2013-11-19 09:19:22

BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- US Secretary of State John Kerry says he has no specific expectations about world powers reaching a deal with Iran in talks later this week.

Kerry made the remarks on Monday at a news conference with Turkish Foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The talks between Iran and the six world powers will resume in Geneva on November the 20th. They will try to reach a first-step agreement to end a 10-year deadlock over Iran’s nuclear program.

"I have no specific expectations with respect to the negotiation in Geneva except that we will negotiate in good faith and we will try to get a first-step agreement, and hope that Iran will understand the importance. So I think it’s best to leave that negotiation to the negotiation table," he said.
