BEIJING, May 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Seven people were killed in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Sunday in a suicide bomb attack.
The bomber attempted to ram a car loaded with explosives into a military convoy escorting a four-member Qatari delegation. Members of the delegation were unharmed and safely reached their hotel. But the blast left 7 people dead and 18 wounded.
-linked Somali militant group al-Shabab was blamed for the attack. The extremist al-Shabab group has been pushed out of much of the areas it occupied in South and Central Somalia by troops.
