BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhuanet) -- China has repeated its stance that it would support a "prudent and moderate" response from the UN Security Council to the ’s recent nuclear test.
Hua Chunying, Spokeswoman, Chinese Foreign Ministry, said, "We are resolute in believing that the relevant response has to be prudent and moderate, has to prevent an escalation, be conducive to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the maintenance of the peace and stability of Northeast Asia. Based on this spirit, China has maintained close communication with the relevant parties at the UN Security Council and at other venues."
