BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Relatives of nine Hong Kong residents involved in the Egyptian hot air balloon crash have flown from Hong Kong for Cairo, accompanied by local officials. Hong Kong Immigration Department Senior Officer, Lee Kwong-wah, says officials will be helping the relatives.

Lee Kwong-wa said, "When we arrive in Cairo we will first of all get in touch with the staff from the Chinese Embassy in Cairo. And then we will try our best to assist the families to follow up the after-death matter of the concerned Hong Kong residents."

Lee Kwong-wah did not confirm the names or the age of the victims. The 10 family members of the victims were taken into the Hong Kong airport away from waiting media and were checked in by Hong Kong Immigration Department officials.
