BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Top Chinese political advisor has arrived in Rome for an official goodwill visit to the country.
In a written statement upon his arrival, Jia said China and Italy have continuously strengthened mutual political trust and scored fruitful achievements in cooperation since the establishment of their diplomatic ties 42 years ago.
During a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, Jia said the two countries should strengthen economic cooperation as well as high-level visits. He said he is looking forward to having in-depth talks with other Italian leaders, including Prime Minister Mario Monti.
Italy is the first leg of Jia’s three-nation tour which will also take him to Costa Rica and Argentina.
