BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- UN Secretary General has arrived in Cairo, the two-day visit by the chief aims to push for an early ceasefire between and Hamas.

In the meeting with the ian Foreign Minister, the two discussed details to put an end to the ongoing Israeli attack on Gaza. And both maintain that a ceasefire is the key to solving the ongoing conflict.

Ban is also scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Mohamed and Prime Minister Hisham Qandil to support his efforts to mediate a truce to end the conflict.

Ban is also expected to hold talks with chief, Nabil Elaraby before the latter leads a delegation of Arab ministers to Gaza to show solidarity with Palestinians under attack.

After the visit, the secretary general will then travel to Jerusalem.
