Guinean President Alpha Conde is in Beijing for a state visit, and met with President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People. President Xi pointed out that Guinea was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish diplomatic ties with China, and said China is ready to translate their traditional friendship into bilateral cooperation and development. Conde thanked China's continuous support to Guinea's economic and social development, especially in the combat against Ebola. He also said Guinea highly values China's Africa policy.
