China Fashion week has kicked off with a bang on Monday at the Beijing Hotel. Chinese designer Liu Ming has showcased his latest womenswear collection for the brand JZ.

The charm of maturity. JZ’s latest collection aims to bring the best out of mature, sophisticated women.

This graceful and mature approach to women’s attire is essential for JZ, with the main theme of the show being "The grace of hours". It communicates how women mellow over time to attain the full height of attractiveness.

Present mostly in dark colors, the models strut down the catwalk with turtleneck scarfs and fur decorated handbags.

The brand is part of the Anzheng Fashion Group, an enterprise committed to pioneering a new path for Chinese fashion.

"We have such a rich cultural heritage, but we need to absorb European modernity and come up with a fashion style that is uniquely Chinese. That’s what we’ve been doing in the last 14 years," said Zheng Anzheng from Anzheng Fashion Group.

The collection is very subtle in its use of floral designs, always hinting at their presence without being full-blown. The flowers are inspired by traditional Chinese clothing. "I believe every woman acquires a unique and mature beauty with the passing of time, time molds us in such mysterious ways, and we wanted to explore that theme in this fall-winter collection," designer Liu Ming said.

"Our designs are actually very comfortable to wear and very elegant at the same time," Zheng Anzheng said.

This makes the brand accessible to customers with less than perfect figures. The collection pays careful attention to making the wearer more streamlined, and flatters body shapes with meticulously tailored dresses.
