BELGRADE, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Serbia confirmed on Tuesday that Darko Saric, accused of transporting more than 5 tons of cocaine and laundering of more than 22 million euros (30.6 million U.S. dollars), is in police custody in Belgrade.
Saric, the alleged drug lord, surrendered in Latin America after a month and a half of negotiations. According to Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic, he made no conditions for his surrender "except to call his mother and his lawyer." Full story
