BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The Chinese and Indian armies have ended a nine-day joint anti-terrorism drill with a live-fire exercise in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
Code-named "Hand-in-Hand 2013," the military exercise included the demonstration of weapons, exchange of tactics, joint training in the arrest of suspects and the rescue of hostages. Chengdu Military Area Command Chief of Staff Zhou Xiaozhou says the drill has expanded the field for military exchanges between China and India.
The joint drill was launched on November 5, with each side sending a company of 144 soldiers. It is the third round of joint drills to be held between the two nations since 2007.
