Ministers are expected to focus on ways of getting all sides in the Syrian conflict to join the Geneva II peace conference. Speaking before the meeting, Libya’s Arab League representative, Ashour Borashed, said ministers would discuss the latest developments inside Syria, as well as the outcomes of international envoy Lakhdar Brahimi’s latest tour of the region.
Libya is presiding over the emergency session, which is reported to have been scheduled at the request of the Syrian opposition.
