BEIJING, Oct. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Kuala Lumpur for a state visit. President Xi and his wife were welcomed by the Malaysian Health Minister Subramaniam Sathasivam and his wife at the Sepang airport on Thursday afternoon.
President Xi says he is looking forward to meeting with top leaders of Malaysia, and to enhancing the strategic ties between the two countries. Later in the evening, President Xi and his wife attended a family feast held by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak. Malaysia is the second stop in President Xi’s Southeast Asia tour following a visit to Indonesia.
He is scheduled to meet with the Supreme Head of State Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and hold talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak. President Xi will also attend the China-Malaysia Economic Cooperation Summit.
