TEHRAN, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- At least 44 people were killed and over 40 others injured in a traffic accident on Qom-Tehran highway in Iran, semi-official ISNA news agency reported on Tuesday.
The accident took place late Monday at 22:55 local time (18:25 GMT), when two passenger buses moving in opposite directions collided at about 30 km away from Qom city and both caught fire, Iran's Red Crescent Society chief was quoted as saying. Full story
