BEIJING, Sept. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Before leaving for Uzbekistan, Xi Jinping visited Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city, accompanied by his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.

During the visit, Xi said China enjoys sound growth momentum and will push forward economic restructuring and further increase the quality of its economic development. He said China has confidence in maintaining a sustained and healthy economic development.

Nursultan Nazarbayev said his country hopes to benefit from China’s rapid economic development. The president said Kazakhstan is willing to work with China to enhance coordination on development strategies and pursue common development.
