BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese and US naval vessels will conduct a joint anti-piracy exercise at the weekend in the Gulf of Aden.
The two countries will send their missile equipped destroyers, supply ships and ship-based helicopters and special task forces to take part. The drill follows China’s naval fleets successfully completing escort missions in the area.
The two sides say the drill is a sign of improving security ties. Last September, China and the US conducted their first joint anti-piracy drill which lasted for five hours in Gulf of Aden.
