BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhuanet) -- The ian Army has taken delivery of two new ballistic missiles.
Commander of Ground Forces of the Iranian army, Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan, announced on Sunday that the army has inducted the "Naziat-10" and "Fajr-5" missiles. Both missiles were successfully test-fired in March.
"Naziat 10" is a short range missile, capable of hitting targets as far as 130 kilometers and can be launched from mobile platforms.
"Fajr-5" is an artillery rocket developed by Iran in the 1990s. The system is a part of the "Fajr" family of rockets. Pourdastan said the two missiles would significantly increase the army’s combat force and would be used in military exercises in the near future.
