BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhuanet) -- San Francisco General Hospital has confirmed a student who was critically injured in Saturday’s Asiana Airlines plane crash died Friday morning from her injuries.

The girl, whose identity was withheld by hospital officials, had been in intensive care since she was taken to hospital after the crash.

Following the announcement, the Chinese consulate to San Francisco confirmed the girl is a Chinese national.

The crash landing of the Boeing flight also killed two other Chinese teenage girls, and injured more than 180 other people.
