BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Asiana Airlines’ CEO Yoon Yong-doo has dismissed speculations about the experience of the junior pilot who was in charge of landing the Boeing 777.
He said during a news conference that training is common in the global aviation industry and all responsibilities lie with the captain during the training. It was still not clear whether the senior pilot, captain Lee Jung-min, who had clocked up 3,220 hours on a Boeing 777, had tried to take over to abort the landing.
"A senior pilot was in charge of the flight. So I cannot tolerate this speculation. I would appreciate if you understand that it is not true. We expect all flight records and analysis to be available," CEO of Asiana Airlines Yoon Young-Doo said.
